UNICO

The aim of the project is to eliminate limits inherent in speakers produced on a large scale.

The shape
Square shapes are functional more from the point of view of ease of industrial packaging than audio quality. The flat and parallel surfaces create reflected waves which become trapped inside the furnishing creating "dirty" noise. This has a negative effect on the movement of the driver membrane. The laws of fluid mechanics indicate the shape of "furnishing" that eliminates stationary waves. Numerous experiments and simulations have lead to the creation of the tubo-spherical speaker, the CERAMICO. Its particular shape also eliminates diffractions created by external control knobs on the furnishing, usually reduced by electronics.

The crossover filter
Sound is too complex a thing to break up and then glue back together without damage. A musical signal crossing any electronic component is changed. A crossover therefore creates a series of distortions which, in the best of cases, act as a veil over the sound. The elimination of the filter, or a drastic reduction in its components, lifts this veil between the speaker and the listener.

The end result
Therefore, beginning with the minimalist concept of a single speaker, I spent a long time listening to the best wide-range speakers available. During the early phases of the project I was guided by the excellent ears of numerous musicians and orchestra directors.
The result was the UNICO, a ceramic "single speaker" loudspeaker. Una serie di caratteristiche tecniche esclusive NOVAUDIO lo rendono un diffusore acustico UNICO. Gone are the "boxed" characteristics of the voices and the predominance of mid-range frequencies typical in wideband loudspeakers.
The perspective reconstruction is impressive.
